Kim Kardashian’s Wedding Details and Location Revealed

The final countdown to Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ big day has begun!  Wedding details revealed, and we’d like to share what we know thus far.

Let’s start with the color scheme shall we?  Sources have reported that the future basketball wife has decided that the theme and decorations for the extravaganza will be silver, white and black.  As for flowers, there will be hundreds of white roses flown in from South Africa.

One of Kourtney Kardashian’s followers on twitter asked her what the color scheme for their dresses will be.  Kourtney tweeted back and confirmed that the bridesmaids, which of course include her sisters, will be wearing green.  The same tweeter also asked if Mason, Kourtney’s son, will be a ring bearer but mommy didn’t answer that question.

The Kardashian sisters, bridesmaids, and bride-to-be will be wearing custom made gowns by designer Vera Wang.  The New York based dress designer, Vera Wang, not too long ago made the move to the west coast and bought a Beverly Hills house for $9,200,000…coincidence?  Not sure.

The invited guests will be shuttled to the wedding site.  The buses will pick up the wedding goers from the Four Seasons and the windows to the buses will be blacked out.  Upon arrival attendees will go through metal detectors and there are no cameras or cell phones allowed.

There will be 500 guests attending the event and they have been asked by Kimmy, in addition to everything else, to stick to the wedding theme of black and white.

Last but not least, the location!  Did you think I’d never get to it 😉

Sources reported that the couple was originally going to have their anticipated nuptials at Oprah’s estate in Montecito, CA.  They stayed with the Silicon Valley location but decided to go with the historic estate nestled in the hills with an ocean view.

The Montecito mansion belongs to multi-billionaire Eric Schmidt, former CEO of Google.  Schmidt bought the property in November 2007 from comedienne Ellen Degeneres and her partner Portia de Rossi for $20,000,000!

Ellen acquired the property in October 2006 for approximately $15,750,000.  By March the following year Ellen put the house back on the market with an asking price of $24,000,000.

The Spanish style Montecito home was built in 1926 by Santa Barbara architect George Washington Smith.  The estate’s main house includes a little over 5,000 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, 2 of which are half bathrooms.  The master suite is 1,300 square feet.

The main house includes a wine cellar, a dining room with a curved stairway, a billiards room, a library, and an office.  The meticulously landscaped grounds include a sizeable motor court, tennis court, swimming pool with spa, and a colorful tiled fountain.  There is a detached 1 bedroom guest house with kitchen.  If that wasn’t enough there’s also an additional studio tucked away in a corner.
