About Kenya Hughes
When Kenya Hughes made real estate her focus in 2017, she hit the ground running. Just last year, she was elected President of the Women’s Council of Realtors, beginning her term in 2024. Yet, she still makes all the time in the world for her burgeoning clientbase who she always serves with authentic care and unwavering honesty. Supported by her experience as a California-Certified Probate and Trust Specialist, not to mention her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with a minor in Real Estate, Kenya provides sage counsel with her trademark charisma across neighborhoods in Northridge, Tarzana, Encino, and West Adams.
Kenya’s family migrated from Panama to New York looking for new opportunities. She was born just a few years later and raised in northern New Jersey. As a kid, she loved watching MTV Cribs, finding just as much fascination in the unique architecture of the luxury properties as she did in their dazzling decadence. In 2015, she moved to the sun-kissed vistas of Los Angeles.
Kenya traces the origins of her real estate career to her leasing responsibilities for a property management company. A quick study, she was quickly promoted to Community Director Portfolio Manager and also worked as an acquisitions consultant, executing rent roll and budget audit duties. In 2020, she decided to give real estate her undivided attention and hasn’t looked back. With her unique experience, she enjoys bringing patience, comfort and knowledgeability to the escrow process.
Despite her busy schedule, Kenya still finds time to manage her own evening gown boutique. Unsurprisingly, she comes from a heavily active background, dancing ballet for 14 years, modeling for 5 years… she was even in a Jiffy commercial as a kid. Kenya cherishes long hikes with her boys, dancing, and catching a Broadway show when she can.
