About Yana Karibyan

Yana Karibyan loves the real estate process: the research, the hunt for listings, the open houses, the coordination. It’s why she served as a resource for her family and friends for decades before finally taking the plunge and obtaining her real estate license. Yana recognizes that there’s nowhere like home; a place where families and memories alike are created and that comforts us at the end of the best and worst days of our lives. It’s why she works extra hard to ensure those in both her personal and professional circles maintain confidence in her honesty and integrity as she carefully handles the most important decision in their lives: helping them find not just a dream house but a home.

Yana holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Education from UCLA and a Master’s Degree in Education from Pepperdine University. In November of 1989, she moved to her beloved community of Glendale and hasn’t left since. It’s not only where she grew up but where she chose to raise her children. Since 2007, she’s been teaching for the same GUSD school system that provided her primary and secondary education. Though she always held a passion for real estate, the demands of her teaching career and a growing family prevented her from seriously pursuing it for most of her life. But these days, she’s helping people find homes all across Glendale, La Crescenta, Burbank, Hollywood, Granada Hills, and Pasadena.

A true family woman, Yana loves being the mother of a 14-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son. Beyond teaching, she remains active in her community as the Director of Crescenta Valley High School’s Dance Program. Though developing a successful competitive program has been demanding, coaching and guiding teens has never felt like a job for Yana, but rather a blessing. Yana prioritizes an active lifestyle, enjoying kickboxing, dancing, and hiking. She also loves to spend time with friends and family. And on the rare occasion she gets to unwind, she loves to visit the beach or spend time relaxing at the spa.
