Must-See Movies in Theaters Feburary 2022

It’s February, and with Valentine’s Day happening, it’s the perfect month to take someone special to the movies! This month’s offerings on the big screen feature action, romance, comedy, and a bunch of incredible stars. Here are the must-see flicks that we are most excited to see. So grab your popcorn, settle in, and get ready to be amazed and entertained. Which of these films will you go see first?

1. Marry Me

Release Date: Friday, February 11th

Love is in the air, and on the big screen with this huge rom-com for the ages. This movie centers around the pop sensation Kat (Jennifer Lopez) who, after discovering her boyfriend (Maluma) is having an affair, chooses to marry stranger Charlie (Owen Wilson), who’s holding a sign that says “Marry Me” at one of her concerts. A plot that’s equal parts crazy and cute, Marry Me is the kind of sappy romantic comedy that’s sure to melt your heart. And with J Lo in the title role, we’re sure to hear some great new music from this film, too!

2. Uncharted

Release Date: Friday, February 18th

Based on the extremely popular video game series, Uncharted stars Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg, Antonio Banderas, and Tati Gabrielle in a fun action romp that is sure to be exciting and enjoyable, in the true spirit of the games. The action-adventure takes place years before the events of the 2007 game Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, and follows a young Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and his partner Sully (Mark Wahlberg) as they go up against a wealthy treasure hunter in order to obtain Magellan’s legendary gold. Be sure to check this one out if you’re a fan of video games, adventure, or even just Tom Holland!

3. Death on the Nile

Release Date: Friday, February 11th

The trailer alone for Death on the Nile will send shivers up your spine and pique your curiosity. This film adaptation of the famous Agatha Christie novel is sure to be a box office smash this month! For all of you murder-mystery fans out there, this classic “whodunnit” stars an impressive lineup of Gal Gadot, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Rose Leslie, Letitia Wright, and Kenneth Branagh reprising his role as the iconic Hercule Poirot. Twisty and suspenseful, Death on the Nile promises to be the most exciting big-budget thriller of the month.

4. Moonfall

Release Date: Friday, February 4th

From Roland Emmerich (director of 2012 and Independence Day) comes the latest apocalyptic space flick. If you like movies with action, sci-fi, and the fate of the world in the hands of a few heroes, this movie is right up your alley. Moonfall centers on former astronaut Jo (Halle Berry) as she discovers the key to saving humanity when a mysterious force sets the moon on a collision course towards Earth. Together with the only people who believe her, astronaut Brian (Patrick Wilson) and conspiracy theorist K.C. (John Bradley), she mounts a last-minute mission into space to save the world. This flick will have you on the edge of your seat the whole time.

5. Dog

Release Date: Friday, February 18th

Get out the Kleenex before seeing this film. Starring Channing Tatum, Dog is a movie about the impactful bond with man’s best friend. This movie is also Channing Tatum’s directorial debut. Sure to be a tear-jerker, Tatum plays an Army ranger who is tasked with bringing a military working dog to the dog handler’s funeral. They take a road trip together over multiple states, with important life lessons learned along the way. Whether you are a dog-lover or a fan of Tatum, this heartwarming movie will likely have audiences wondering whether he rescued the dog, or the dog rescued him?
