Restaurants Open Christmas Day in Los Angeles

Christmas Day is fast approaching, and with it comes the stress and anxiety surrounding one of the biggest decisions of the season: What should you eat? Fortunately, if you prefer a change of pace, there are numerous great restaurants offering tasty takeout meals on December 25th. Maybe you’re tired of trying to perfect your honey baked ham, or you just want to give your wife the day off from cooking Instagram-worthy cuisine. No matter what your reasoning, these fantastic restaurants are here to save the day. 

Downtown LA

  • Guerilla Tacos – If tacos and tamales entice you, Guerilla Tacos has taco and tamale kits to satisfy your hunger. The kits are customizable too! All the way down to masa vs. corn husks. Throw in a margarita kit and you’ll have one unforgettable Christmas feast. (Note that Guerilla is only open for their Holiday Kits)
  • Openaire – This restaurant is within The Line hotel in Koreatown, and they offer a cornucopia of delicious delights, all neatly pre-packaged for your convenience. Select the Taste of Openaire Takeaway and you’ll enjoy a full Surf n Turf dinner, complete with Grilled Prawns, Spaghetti Squash, and Sirloin Steak. The Holiday Takeaway is more robust, offering a comprehensive culinary adventure with Prime Rib Roast, Black Truffle Garlic Cheese Bread, and Kaluga Caviar, among others!
  • The Palm – The Palm has delectable meals in spades, with savory starters like crab cakes, oysters on the half shell, and seared scallops. Their steaks are the main event, however, offering everything from Prime Boneless Ribeye and New York Strip to Bone-in Filet and Prime Porterhouse.

  • Palms Thai – Few restaurants can satisfy your Thai fix like Palms Thai. Their spice-filled dishes are often just what the doctor ordered, from yellow, red, and green curry, to Pad Thai, Pad See-Ew, and BBQ chicken — it’s a Thai lovers paradise. 
  • Lost Cove – I’m sure a Hawaiian pop-up isn’t at the top of LA diners’ lists, but hear me out. Imagine sipping on a delicious Tiki Nog or Stormy Santa before feasting on Turkey Sliders, Honey Basked Ham, and Mac & Cheese. Maybe a Haupia Coconut Pudding for dessert? *Note: Lost Cove is not technically open Christmas Day, but you can order their food for pickup on Christmas Eve!

  • STK Steakhouse Restaurant – The well-to-do know about STK Steakhouse and their veritable food paradise. Choose from delectable options such as Umami Olive Fed Wagyu Strip, Roasted Lamb Rack, and Seared Sea Scallops with Black Truffle. Did I mention the Holiday Surf N Turf? 

San Marino

  • Julienne – Whether you’re looking for a scrumptious Brunch for Four or a Traditional Dinner for Six, Julienne has you covered. Christmas entrees for dinner include the Brown Sugar Citrus Glazed Ham, Herb Crusted Prime Rib Roast, and Traditional Lasagna with Beef and Chicken Sausage. For Brunch, you can enjoy a quart of Hibiscus Orange “Brunch Punch,” Christmas Strata with Spinach, Sundried Tomato & Basil Pesto, plus Candied Bacon!

  • Buca di Beppo – Family-style Italian dinners are the name of the game, and Buca di Beppo has plenty of locations for you to choose from. The Holiday Cake Boss package includes salad, pasta, an entree, and a Cake Boss cake (while supplies last). 
  • Chart House Restaurant – (Redondo Beach, Dana Point) From start to finish, Chart House is a prime seafood spot, offering favorites like Coconut Crunchy Shrimp, New England Clam Chowder, Fire Roasted Baja Salmon, and Mini Lava Cakes for dessert. Find 
  • Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse – (Beverly Hills, DTLA, and Irvine) The ultimate grilled Brazilian steak journey is at Fogo de Chao. The Holiday Celebration To-Go Package comes cooked and ready to reheat at home. The spread includes a Fire-Roasted Meat (your choice), Sauteed Asparagus, Brazilian Sausage & Apple Dressing, Cranberry Relish, Pao de Queijo, Sweet Potato Casserole, and Candy Cane Fudge Brownies. 
  • Truxton’s American Bistro – All three locations (Westchester, Santa Monica, and Torrance) are open on Christmas Day 10am-4pm. Te Holiday Menu includes Individual Meals, Family Meals, and Pies & Cheesecakes. The Family bundle meals feature a choice among Brisket, Chili Basil Salmon, Lasagna, Rotisserie Prime Rib, and Holiday Ham. (Order by Tuesday, December 22nd 5pm for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day pickup!)
  • Ruth’s Chris Steak House – Ruth’s Chris in Pasadena, Irvine, Woodland Hills, and Marina Del Rey are all open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with a smattering of great meals to choose from. The Celebration Surf & Turf includes two lobster tails and your choice of filet. Meanwhile, the Christmas Even take-home meal for two gives you a starter, two entrees, two personal sides, and a Shareable Chocolate Sin Cake. Last but not least, the Christmas Feast gives you food for four!
  • Gyu-Kaku – (Beverly Hills, Sherman Oaks, Pasadena, Burbank) the Japanese BBQ wizards are at it again, offering Build Your Own Bento boxes, Ramen & Garlic Noodles, and all the tasty appetizers you could ever crave. Alternatively, select the Family Meal for All and let them do the food selections from fan favorites.
  • Marmalade Cafe – (Calabasas, El Segundo, Mid-Wilshire, Malibu, Sherman Oaks, and Westlake Village) Marmalade has a little something for everyone: Guacamole, Pot Stickers, Turkey Meatloaf, Garlic Shrimp Linguine, and Warm Bread Pudding for dessert. 
  • Morton’s the Steakhouse – (Burbank, Beverly Hills, DTLA) Open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Morton’s Savor the Holidays menu includes delicious dishes such as Black Truffle Mashed Cauliflower, Chateaubriand for Two, and a Flourless Chocolate Cake.
