Friends, Family, and Colleagues,

It’s that time of year again!  The weather has cooled off (although people in Boston might disagree with our definition of “cooled off” ;-), and the holidays are upon us.

For those of you who may not remember we actually have a charity called ToysForTeens, whose sole purpose is to bring joy to teens who are battling cancer at City of Hope Cancer Research Hospital.

We started the charity because we feel that teenage cancer patients are unfortunately being neglected.  While children, women, and men (prostate), are such popular/trendy causes to support now-a-days, teens seem to be overlooked; and we intend to fix that.

I would like to ask all of you to think back to when you were between the ages of 13 and 19, and remember what was going on in your life.  For some it was sports, others it was social outings, maybe even a first date/kiss, but for all of us it was a time when we were becoming cognizant of our surroundings and what life had to offer.

Now imagine how you would feel “coming of age” in a hospital bed with a giant question mark hovering above your future.

I know this sounds dire, and that its not exactly uplifting, but I want to convey just how important this period is in our development as young adults; and how much it can mean to a teenager to receive a cool gift and be afforded a moment in which they do not have to think about their terrible situation.

Moreover, the families of these of teens are often under immense financial burden arising from the cost of medical treatment, so your gift may be the only shot they have at giving their son or daughter a Christmas/Chanukah/Kwanza/Festivus at all!

From today until Dec. 17th we will be collecting toys and gift cards for the teens at our offices, and ask for your help in bringing a smile to these young faces.

Our goal for this year is to raise $4,000 in Gift cards as well as to gather a lot of Toys for the teens at City of Hope and really appreciate your help.  For ideas of of what you could get for the teens please take a look at www.johnhartcares.com. Even if you are financially unable to contribute PLEASE forward this email to everyone you know, and share this article on your social media.

Again, gifts will be collected at:

330 N. Brand Blvd. Ste. 130, Glendale, CA 91203
&
1033 N. Hollywood Way Unit D, Burbank, CA  91505.

If you have any questions please give the office a call at 818-246-1099 or check out Jhcares.com

Thank you for all your support and lets make this event a smashing success!
