The MTV Video Music Awards took place yesterday at Staples Center in Downtown Los Angeles so here at JohnHart Real Estate we thought it would be appropriate to take a look at some of the nominees’ homes:
After Katy Perry’s break-up from Russell Brand, she’s showing a little caution with her purchasing. The couple bought three multimillion dollar homes while married, but after her move from Laurel Canyon the single pop-star is only renting a three bedroom condominium at West Hollywood’s Colonial House.
Rihanna has had some problems with her 10,000 square foot Beverly Hills home that she purchased for $6.9 million in 2009. It features 8 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, floor to ceiling windows, great views of the valley, a pool, oh… and lots of leaks. Apparently, the pop-singer’s home is falling apart pretty badly. She actually filed a lawsuit claiming that she was duped into believing the home was in excellent condition when it was purchased, and not told about the structural problems. So, it’s now on the market at huge reduced price of $4.5 million.
In July, Drake purchased a 7,400 square foot private compound estate in Hidden Hills, California. It features 7 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, a huge multimillion dollar pool with waterfalls, grotto, and slide, a combination tennis/basketball court, grounds for horses including 5 stalls and riding area. There’s also a small theater and wine cellar!
