That’s right, on April 5th at noon, you’ll be able to bid on an auction to purchase Buford, Wyoming.  The starting price?  $100,000.  The population?  One.

Don Sammons, is not only the owner of the town, but he’s the lone inhabitant.  He moved to Buford (located between Laramie & Cheyenne) with his family in 1980.  He took over a small convenience store in 1992 until the end of 2011.  After his family slowly moved away from the 10 acre town, Sammons has decided it’s time to sell.

So what will winner of the auction get?

  • 10 acres of land
  • 3 bedroom home
  • gas station
  • the Buford Trading Post convenience store
  • 1900s cabin
  • a garage
  • schoolhouse built in 1905
