Tiger Woods Florida Estate Complete

Tiger Woods’ completes construction on his $50,000,000 home on Jupiter Island.

Golfer Tiger Woods, who divorced in 2010, bought his sprawling 10-acre ocean front estate on Jupiter Island in Florida back in 2006, complete with its own backyard golf course.  Locals were stunned by Woods when he immediately tore down the house even though it was only 13 years old.

Despite giving his ex-wife an estimated $100,000,000 settlement Woods is apparently not short on cash since the construction continued as planned.  In July 2010, Forbes announced Tiger Woods as the richest sportsman in the world earning a reported $105,000,000 (yes you are reading that very large figure correctly) in the past year.

When Woods purchased the home he decided to make his own practice facility.  His plan was to design the facility to replicate tournament-level playing.  Woods started with a 3.5-acrea area personally directing the layout and shape with the help of Tiger Woods Design team.

Even though Woods might not be playing the rest of the season with his new private practice facility he will be prepared when he does return.  The golf course is tournament-condition with various turf species common on the PGA Tour.  Woods can practice and fine tune his short and mid range golf game with the course’s 360 degree sightlines.

The facility includes four greens, six bunkers, a video center and a putting studio.  “It’s also set up so I can hit shots out of my second-story studio,” Woods wrote on his blog.

Woods has not moved in yet but will be moving in very soon.  The move is expected to follow after his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, and their two children move into a $12,200,000 beachfront home in Palm Beach County.
