Eric Clapton’s House for Sale, Proceeds will be Given to Japan Relief Efforts

Ok, so in the interest of full disclosure I must say that Eric Clapton has not lived in this property since 2003.  That being said, it is mentioned in his autobiography, and contains a recording studio (complete with a lost recording left behind by Mr. Clapton upon moving out).

The current owner Steve Meadows, a successful architect, purchased the Venice, California house from Eric, and used it as a rental property most of the year.  It is currently listed for $2.5 M, and heres the kicker:  anything above and beyond the list price will be donated to the Japan Relief Effort.

Meadows, who assisted in the relief efforts in Sri Lanka after the tsunami in 2004, believes that the association with Eric Clapton may be able to bring in some high priced offers, and looks forward to being able to help Japan in anyway possible.

So if you have the spare change, be kind and pick up this piece of property, you will get two deals in one:  being able to help a great cause, and a great piece of pop history/property…  Plus the sound system is to die for (trust us)!!
