About Melissa Urena
Melissa Urena & Associates is a growing and dynamic group of Realtors dedicated to the person behind the property. We help buyers and sellers negotiate the parts of a real estate transaction that cannot be tackled through a website or a phone app. As part of the JohnHart Real Estate brokerage, we count on over 10 offices in Southern California from the Antelope Valley down to Long Beach. This is my first ever Zillow review and I have to say that it couldn't have gone to a better group of people. From the moment we first made contact, Melissa Urena,Juan Castro and their whole team made me feel more like family than a customer. Their attention to the details and their insightful knowledge of the current marketplace made shopping for my first home a relative breeze. I have dealt with a few other agents and they always seemed to push me in their direction rather than give me the the knowledge and space to make my own informed decision. What I came to realize is that it was their advice that ultimately led me to the right decision to hold off momentarily. Melissa is incredibly knowledgeable about the real estate world. She knows the ins and outs of the process and gives options to her clients to achieve the best results. Melissa and her team are amazing! With their help, I was able to sell my house in Compton, CA, at almost $25k over asking price! I think this was due to her expertise and knowledge of the area, the market and the buyers. This was demonstrated when issues arose with the sale of my property and she remained calm and collected and always had a solution up her sleeve!
At the same time, Melissa and her team helped me buy a new house Saugus, CA, for almost $8k under asking price! When it came to negotiating the purchase of my new home, she was firm yet professional.
The best part was having her represent us for both the sale and purchase of our home was that she and her team coordinated both escrows flawlessly!

I haven't purchased a home yet, but I went to Melissa to get advice and gain a better understanding of what I need to do to get on track to become a homeowner. A+ service from start to finish. She is very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. During my first meeting with Melissa she told me exactly what to do in order get the most money for my home, and once on the market she sold it, significantly above asking, and in only two days. She was always available to answer questions via text message, phone call, email, or whatever media I chose.
